The Fitzgerald and Ben Hill Development Authority, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, and Fitzgerald High School communicate openly with each other and are in constant collaboration working together to ensure our industries have the skilled labor force needed to remain competitive and profitable.  Through these efforts, unique training for specific jobs within the community evolved.  In the fall of 2016, the school system launched a Certified Manufacturing Specialist program that provides pathways of studies for students who are planning to go directly into the workforce.  To date, students have been hand selected by the school system to enter into the program and early success has been seen.  Below is a summary of the growing opportunities being afforded to Fitzgerald High School students.
